Have A Go 24th and 25th of August
Yet another successful two days with approx 1800 people visiting us all eager to have a go and test out their archery skills, with many of the lads trying to impress their lady friends. Margam ladies said that generally speaking, the girls had natural archery ability, but the men said this is debatable. There was archery memorabilia from Rex, who had bows and ancient arrows from different periods, Allan had his collection of Helmets, Swords and medieval cloths, which went down well with the youngsters. Not only did the have a goers enjoy themselves, but some of us decided to dress up for the occasion in medieval garb, which was great fun…Roll on 2004 |

Cwmni Cymraeg y Bwa Double Clout Shoot Standard Arrow 7th September 2003 The weatherman predicted the usual “Rain” but this didn’t deter archers from all over the UK turning up to the event. We did have a downpour, which lasted about 45mins but didn’t spoil the event, or the fun. On arrival and registration all were welcome to the usual refreshments and Welsh cakes prepared by some of the fair maidens of Margam. Margam Archers hosting the shoot pulled out all the stops with Christine, Paul and members preparing the park for the shoot, there were flags of the home countries that flew in lovely sunshine most of the time. Thank you Janice for a lovely cake to celebrate the shoot. Paul Curtis and Pat Widger Thanked Margam Archers on Behalf of the Cwmni Cymraeg y Bwa. Tattie Bogle 31st October 2003 It was that spookie time of the year again, when Margam Archers faced the cold and dark to shoot arrows at innocent pumpkins. As usual everyone enjoyed the shoot and of course the food provided by Chris and Jane was spot on, thank you to them both. Alan and Thomas entered into the spirit of Halloween by dressing up and we think they wore masks. There was a Mens shoot off between-Rob Minchinton and Chris Lewis. There was a Ladies shoot off between-Ginnie Mulholland and Laura Palmer. The overall winners were Rob and Ginnie. Well done to them both and everyone who took part. |
Congratulations are in order to the newest Assistant Coaches to Margam Archers. Well done from From Us All.
