DO YOU OR DO YOU NOT DISLIKE TARGET SHOOTS?

BUT AS ALWAYS THE CLUB SHOOT WAS WELL SUPPORTED. THIS YEAR IT WAS DECIDED TO SHOOT TARGETS FOR A CHANGE, THE POINTS ADD UP TOWARD THE END OF THE YEAR TROPHY. IT STAYED DRY AND OF COARSE THE PIES WERE LOVELY. BONUS THIS YEAR IT WAS DECIDED TO SHOOT FOR THE BOSWORTH CHALICE, THINK WE HAVE A RINGER WHEN NEW MEMBER CARL GRIFFITHS WALKED AWAY WITH THE FIRST IN THE TARGET AND WINNER OF THE BLAZON..WELL DONE CARL GLAD YOU ARE A MARGAM ARCHER.

17th WELSH CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING HOSTED BY MARGAM ARCHERS

14th MAY 2005

THE WELSH MEETING AT MARGAM PARK WAS WELL ATTENDED AND IT WAS NICE TO SEE OLD FRIENDS FROM OVER THE BRIDGE. THE WEATHER WAS KIND IF A LITTLE WINDY WHICH CAN BE SEEN BY THE HORIZONTAL FLAGS ABOVE, THE SCORES ALSO REFLECTED THIS. BECAUSE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER OVER PREVIOUS YEARS IT HAD BEEN DECIDED TO SHOOT A NATIONAL RATHER THAN THE USUAL WESTERN, WHICH MEANT LESS ARROWS.

BIG THANK YOU TO OUR LADY PARAMOUNT SALLY ANN DAVIS AND FIELD CAPTAIN MARTYN HEYWOOD.

A BIG THANKS CHRISTINE AND ALL AT MARGAM ARCHERS FOR ANOTHER SUCCESFUL DAY.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE

CWMNI CYMRAEG Y BWA

The Beaufort Great Leat Roving Meeting at Badminton

12th June 2005

Well we started with 20 lost some on the way

20 Margam Archers made the annual trip over the bridge to Badminton. As usual all had a good day.

Rob and Martyn 1st and 2nd for the men.

Helen won the ladies Rove.

Christine and Ginny 1st and 2nd in the Flight arrow.

Although the wind didn’t help, personal records were set in the Standard Arrow Competition.

It was great seeing our two juniors Josh and Thomas doing well in the Standard and Flight arrow beating their previous best.

Margam Archers would like to thank the Duke of Beaufort Foresters Tony Harcourt, Alan and Ian for putting the day on and for an excellent event.
