First Tournament February 26 1987 |
| Margam Archers was founded in September 1986 by Rex and Pat Baddeley, Vic Nicolas and the now deceased Bill Farrant. The club's home ground is the beautiful Margam Country Park. Five indoor venues have to date been it's winter base. For the last 4 years our indoor venue has been Tondu Cricket Club. That the Club has maintained consistent growth over the years to its present membership level is attributable to its main watchword camaraderie. Which is not to say that the club does not have a serious approach to shooting. |

Founded at Margam Park, Cwmi Cymreig y Bwa. The Welsh Longbow Society, stages two of the most attractive longbow competitions on the calendar and is one of four nationally recognised venues for the Standard And Flight Arrow Competition.September 2004 Margam Archers decided to broaden their scope and became a field archery club. This enabled the club members to shoot all aspects of bows and disciplines. Women, men, juniors and families shoot together in competition or for sheer delight in releasing an arrow well. Whatever you want out of archery, Margam archers can provide it. |
